ELC EnvironMentors
EnvironMentors is a national environment-based mentoring program that provides local high school students the opportunity to work with researchers and professionals to develop scientifically-rigorous research projects. The program also promotes future studies and careers in environmental science fields.

The Students
The 2007 ELC EnvironMentors students attend Centennial High School in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Centennial is an alternative high school that features a learning environment based on self-empowerment, and the school's mission is to provide students with a nurturing, intimate environment in order to achieve personal, career, and academic success.
Centennial is located in a historic Fort Collins building, built in 1907 and extensively renovated in 2003.

The Mentors
The mentors in the ELC EnvironMentors program include Colorado State University faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students, as well as environmental professionals in the Fort Collins community.
