Welcome ...

To Alisa Wade's Homepage
I began my doctoral work at Colorado State University, Fort Collins, in Fall 2003. My research interests are at the nexus of landscape ecology, quantitative geography, environmental planning, and watershed sciences. My studies focus on how urbanization influences natural resource condition, and I am particularly interested in the spatial controls on these influences. Additionally, I am interested in how the relationship between urbanization and natural systems changes across hierarchies of spatial scale and alternative definitions of "distance". I use geographic information systems, network spatial models, and spatial and Bayesian hierarchical statistical models as tools in representing the complexities of these relationships.
